OUR COMPANY
Heartland Agrotech Farms brings together agriculture, technology and a long-term commitment to better growing practices. Based in Kerala, we are establishing a farm business focused on Lakadong turmeric and the needs of ingredient buyers.
Our approach connects protected cultivation with intelligent farm management and careful post-harvest handling. By building quality into each step, we aim to give buyers greater confidence in where their raw material comes from and how it is grown.
Led by Managing Partner Kishor Nair, Heartland is developing its first farm in Mynagappally, Kollam district.

Being established for protected cultivation
A focused approach to botanical raw material
Our farm is being developed around growbag cultivation within polyhouses. This protected growing environment gives the farm team a framework for managing the root zone, irrigation and nutrition with greater precision.
The model combines AI-assisted monitoring and automated control with agronomic oversight. Our goal is to reduce repetitive manual tasks, make farm decisions more responsive and maintain a clear record from planting to harvest.
We are building the farm with the whole journey in mind: cultivation, harvest handling, drying, quality assessment and preparation for supply.
OUR PRODUCE
Developing whole dried turmeric fingers
for botanical and nutraceutical ingredient buyers.
Lakadong turmeric is at the heart of Heartland. Our product focus is whole dried fingers for buyers who value clear crop identity, careful handling and specifications that can be assessed through testing. We work from the buyer’s requirements back to the farm, bringing commercial needs into cultivation and post-harvest planning.
Dedicated attention to Lakadong turmeric, with planting-material records and crop management designed to support traceability. Product characteristics will be established through batch-specific laboratory results.
Our intended supply format brings together washing, sorting, buyer-approved processing, drying, grading and packing. Processing and presentation are agreed around the intended application.
We welcome discussions on curcuminoid testing, moisture, safety parameters, packaging and documentation. Sample availability, quantities and delivery schedules are confirmed directly with our team.
We are engaging with botanical extractors, nutraceutical ingredient manufacturers and procurement teams as the farm is established.

We are developing an automated, AI-controlled polyhouse model
that supports the people responsible for the crop.
Polyhouses and growbags form the foundation of our farm design. They support a more deliberate approach to growing conditions, root-zone management and crop observation.
Our automation design brings monitoring together with responsive irrigation and nutrient delivery. The aim is to match farm inputs to crop needs while reducing repetitive manual intervention.
We are developing a connected handling process from harvest and washing to hybrid solar drying and packing. Processing choices are guided by product testing and buyer requirements.
Our quality approach links cultivation records, harvest lots, processing records and laboratory testing. The objective is a documented product journey that supports informed procurement decisions.
WHAT GUIDES US
A long-term business starts with
sound decisions on the ground.
Technology should serve agronomy. We put crop needs and informed farm management at the centre of the system.
We favour documented practices, laboratory assessment and agreed specifications over unsupported product claims.
We seek practical relationships with buyers, agronomists and technology partners who share our commitment to dependable agriculture.
Our crop development begins with turmeric, with ginger part of our longer-term crop portfolio.
